Financial Assistance & Scholarships

Congratulations on your child’s acceptance to Trailhead Community Farm School (TCFS)! We are honored to welcome your family into our community.

TCFS is excited to be an approved provider for Exceptional SC and the South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF). Families can learn more and apply directly through these programs to explore additional funding options.

As a nonprofit organization, TCFS relies on community support and fundraising to offer financial assistance when possible. Because available funds vary from year to year, assistance is not guaranteed and must be requested separately for each academic year.

Who May Apply
Students must be accepted for enrollment at TCFS before applying for financial assistance.

How to Apply
Families are asked to complete the Financial Assistance Application fully and thoughtfully. Assistance is based on multiple factors and is not guaranteed.

Please calculate the amount your family is able to contribute toward tuition and request assistance only for the remaining balance. This allows TCFS to support as many families as possible.

Sharing Your Story
The “Tell Us About Your Need” section is the most important part of the application and helps our committee understand your family’s circumstances.

Required Documentation
A copy of Page 1 of your most recent Federal 1040 tax form is required to complete your application.

Review & Decision
Applications are reviewed by the Financial Assistance Committee, including members of the TCFS Board of Directors and the Executive Director. Families are typically notified of decisions within one week. Approved families will be asked to sign a Financial Assistance Agreement.

We understand that financial conversations can feel vulnerable. Please know that all applications are reviewed confidentially and with care. If you have questions, we’re here to help.
